Itay Klein is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Better. With deep technical roots and over a decade of hands-on experience building large-scale fintech systems, Itay leads the company’s technology vision and execution. He focuses on designing highly scalable, resilient platforms that translate complex payment and optimization challenges into reliable, production-grade systems.
Itay’s experience spans global fintech companies, high-growth startups, and senior technical leadership roles across payments, fraud prevention, digital wallets, and distributed systems. Prior to Better, he held key engineering and leadership positions at Forter, ZenGo, Samsung NEXT, Nexar, and other technology-driven organizations, where he built and led teams responsible for mission-critical, high-throughput platforms.
Throughout his career, Itay has led the development of highly available, low-latency systems operating in regulated environments, with direct exposure to acquirers, issuers, PSPs, merchants, and end-to-end payment flows.
